How to Connect Shopify to a China Fulfillment Partner

Updated June 13, 2026

You can run a Shopify store sourced from China without ever touching a warehouse or buying stock upfront. The trick is connecting your store to a fulfillment partner that catches each order, sources the product, and ships it for you.

Why connect your store at all

Manual dropshipping means buying every order by hand, copying tracking numbers, and hoping the supplier ships what you actually sold. Connecting your store closes those gaps:

  • No warehousing — you hold zero inventory and pre-buy nothing.
  • Automatic order flow — paid orders sync straight to your partner; no copy-paste.
  • Branded delivery — products can be QC’d, branded, and packed before they ship to your customer, with tracking synced back.

The step-by-step with MorePlus

  1. Create a free account. No card, no commitment. Products are offered at the 1688 factory price with 0% product markup, and sourcing on 1688 is free.
  2. Connect your Shopify store. In the connect modal, enter your xxx.myshopify.com URL and authorize. Shopify is the live integration today; other platforms are coming.
  3. Source and import the product from 1688. Search 1688 inside the platform (or hand off a link). Need help finding the right supplier? Add the optional custom sourcing agent at 5% of goods value. There’s no MOQ.
  4. Orders sync automatically. When a customer pays on Shopify, the order flows into MorePlus on its own.
  5. MorePlus picks, QC’s, packs, and ships. We run quality control, brand or package the item if you’ve set that up, and ship each order to your end customer.
  6. Tracking returns to the customer. Tracking syncs back so the buyer stays informed and your store stays tidy.

What’s automated vs. what you control

Automated for you: order capture, sourcing the mapped product, quality checks, packing, shipping, and tracking sync.

You stay in control of: which products you list and at what retail price, product mapping (linking each Shopify variant to the right 1688 product so the correct item ships), branding and packaging choices, and topping up your prepaid wallet that funds orders.

Practical setup tips

  • Map every variant. Match each Shopify SKU and option to the exact 1688 product and variant — a wrong size or color mapping is the most common avoidable error.
  • Fund your wallet ahead of volume. Orders draw from a prepaid wallet, so keep a buffer during launches and sales. Invoices are available for your records.
  • Set IOSS for the EU. If you sell into the EU, add your IOSS number so VAT is handled cleanly at the border and parcels aren’t held up.
  • Know your shipping costs. Shipping is priced by destination, category, and weight or dimensions at competitive rates, and your total is shown before you pay — so margins hold no surprises.

During launch, fulfillment and the first 30 days of storage are free, which makes testing products essentially friction-free.
